About Our File Cabinets

All of our file cabinets are built from solid hardwoods using traditional, time-tested joinery. These pieces are built to last several lifetimes. All file cabinets & credenzas have the following construction features:

Solid hardwood construction. Available in solid cherry, maple, oak, walnut and mahogany (see wood choices). Cherry means solid cherry not a "cherry finish" on a cheaper wood. Case backs are either ship lapped pine or solid hardwood frame and panel construction.

All lumber is carefully selected for the best possible grain and color match

All file cabinets & credenzas are built to order so customizing dimensions and layout is easily done.

Cases are constructed using dovetail and mortise & tenon joinery

All drawers are dovetailed on all 4 corners and interior parts are solid ash or maple with solid wood bottoms not plywood.

All file drawers are equipped with heavy duty over-extending ball bearing slides and are ready to accept your hanging files.
