About Our Chests

All of our blanket & storage chests are built from solid hardwoods using traditional, time-tested joinery. These pieces are built to last several lifetimes. All chests have the following construction features:

100% solid hardwood construction. Available in solid cherry, maple, oak, walnut and mahogany (see wood choices). Cherry means solid cherry not cherry veneer on particleboard or a "cherry finish" on a cheaper wood.

All lumber is carefully selected for the best possible grain and color match

All chests are built to order so customizing dimensions and layout is easily done.

Cases are constructed using dovetail, and mortise & tenon joinery

Only high quality hinges and lid supports are used.
